Several partners from Autostem contributed to the Phacilitate Automation Special Interest Group Conference (with a focus on cell and gene therapy), held in Edinburgh on 30/31 May 2017. The event was designed to bring together stakeholders in cell & gene therapy manufacturing and targeted industry, researchers, decision makers, bioprocess developers and engineers working on sourcing, selecting and implementing automated solutions.
Dr Qasim Rafiq led the workshop session focused on ‘Automation and allogeneic cell therapies’. Researchers from Fraunhofer IPT presented “Towards automated stem cell manufacture” and hosted an exhibit in the Tech Hub at the event. Team members from Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult were also in attendance.
